During installation we check the door's alignment, bore and latch sizes, and the strike plate. Where it makes sense, we reinforce the strike with longer screws that reach the framing behind the door jamb, which helps the door resist being kicked in. Smart locks get set up and tested with you, including how to use the backup key or code.
